This is light Painting in the dark no photoshop
The magical imagination of a kid seems to be parallel with that same magic that finds me light painting. So the combination of both Dali and light painting just seems to be in harmony on that same level of imagination. Just think of back when you were a kid. I remember times where i would just have a stick in the yard like an old branch from a tree and as a kid that branch could be anything. All of a sudden that branch would be transformed into a sword and i would be swinging it around trying to cut old shrubs down pretending that i was a super hero. Then 10 minutes later that same branch could be used a baseball bat and i would be throwing rocks up in the air swinging my branch at those rocks like i was Joe Carter hitting that famous home run. In hindsight as i look back at all those moments those are what i hold so close just as being a kid and having that constant freedom of imagination to let anything in your mind come to life. That stick and tree branches really could be anything you wanted it to be. The mind as a kid is so powerful for that and at some point as we get older we loose that imagination we forget what it was like to believe in Christmas Eve and waiting for Santa or how excited you would get to build a blanket fort out of cushions from the couch. Thats what i find photography has been able to do for me and especially with Light Painting -Your mind is free to create anything in can think of its up to you to capture that thought through a photo and that is so amazing to me. Its changed my life and thats the same aspect of Dali and being a kid and how all this will relate to each other.
Maybe we should all think like kids again cause as adults we seem to forget how fun, amazing and fascinating this world around us is. So this is Dali and my interpretation of a kids imagination and of course he is sleeping in his Spaceship and just got back from his mission to Mars. Thats what kids do right? Get some rest buddy!
Light Painting Explanation
This photo is done by having your camera on a tripod and the camera is open taking one long photo and because the room is dark the only light that shows up is the light you add. So i used flashlights and colored lights and moved them around in the photo and as you move the lights around and light up the scene the camera records those lights and this is the result -Every photo is always different This photo took 133 seconds to take. The name Dali is 4 wooden blocks that are laying on the ground
