So it’s a new year for Dali and now that he just turned 2 years old we are gonna keep going with our photo a week to capture Mr Dali Mans adventures over the next year. This is week 1 of 52
This is where we spent the week in Jamaica. For real it was one of the best rooms and places we have ever stayed in along our travels. This photo was taken on our balcony of our room. Yup we even had our own pool and the ocean with a perfect white sand beach is just steps away. Such an amazing place called Jewel Runaway Bay located on the north part of the island. It really was such a perfect spot. We landed in Montego Bay after a slight delay leaving from Toronto and then after clearing customs We hopped on a bus and made the 80 minute journey through the island of rolling hills to Runaway Bay and this is where we ended up. Jamaica is such an amazing place so full of smiles and chilled out people–“everything is all right” when your in Jamaica, no worries as they say. The people where just so genuine and always an answer of “ya mon” works for anything you respond to. Even Dali man was walking around saying “Hey mon” . The Jamaican’s really got a kick out of Dali every time he would say it.We spent the week partying with Dali and taking boat rides and tours to explore the island. We even got to go see Bob Marley’s hometown where he was born and his mausoleum where his is buried on Mt Zion in Nine Mile–Wow such an amazing experience and it was even Bob’s birthday. He would have turned 70 on February 6th How cool is that. It was an amazing celebration for him that’s for sure. He really is such an icon and you can see how pound the Jamaican’s are to call Bob Marley one of their own.We loved Jamaica. We spent the nights just relaxing on our balcony ordering plates of fruits and desserts. Nothing but the sound of waves crashing into the beach and the wisping sounds of the palm trees blowing in the wind. Moments like this are what I love most —just me and Tam and Dali Man exploring the world.
So heres to Jamaica –“ya mon”
